Love this product

Love this product. I tried several other brands of polyaspartic and they all bubbled or cured with a horrible texture. This is very bubble free, and cures pretty smooth although not as smooth as epoxy. I'm using it to prevent yellowing. It does setup quickly which means you have to know exactly what you are doing and go fast. Using a propane torch does warm it and reliquify it if it gets too thick, especially on the edges. I'm very pleased. It does have an odor, but I'm using a supplied air mask so I don't smell anything until I unhook my respirator. I'm just hoping they don't stop making it, because it does exactly what I need for my art.

Kitchen Counters

I called the company and spoke with Jason before I purchased the Polyaspartic Resin for my kitchen counters. He answered 1000 questions since I only have experience using epoxy. I used mica powders (gold and diamond dust), spray paint (Rust-Oleum metallic Gold and Silver) and pigment ink white and black mixed to make the shade of desired grey. The white was the base coat which we applied as the tension release barrier. Then added each color separate. One kit was enough for the entire kitchen plus two small counters for a coffee bar. Not enough for a flood coat. This works different than epoxy. If your counters are intact you will need a squeegee and a roller brush to move the product to create your effects. It’s not as smooth to the touch once dried. I sanded it and applied a smooth gloss top coat from a different brand. We love our countertops and will use the same product for the kitchen floor's. The finished texture of the product will be perfect for the floor since it will avoid the slippery surface. Do I have a con? Sort of more like a suggestion. For DYI beginners, this would be a better learning experience as a 1:1 ratio mix. I was teaching my son and daughter this as I used them as my helpers. I highly suggest two people if you’re doing multiple colors on a large project . You are working against time and I do mean the clock starts to tick the moment you mix the…
